Home Trial Glasses

Can't quite decide on which prescription glasses you prefer from our on-line catalogue? Why not take advantage of our home trial service which will allow you to try on a few pairs at home before you commit to a purchase.

This way, you can ask your partner, best friend, colleagues or even your mum for an honest opinion on which glasses suit you. You won't have a high pressure salesperson standing over you, making you uncomfortable and feeling compelled to make a purchase you are not sure of. And there will be no-one there to sell upgrades you may not want or need! The only cost to you if you do not decide to buy is the postage charge.

Simply browse the SpecsPost website to choose the frames you would like to try and pop them in your basket making sure you select the try at home button. Once you have selected 2-4 frames go to your basket and continue as you would with a regular order following the website prompts. You will have to pay a security deposit (Around 50% if the cost of the frames). This will be refunded when we receive your trial frames back in an “as new” condition or if you decided to by offset against the price of your final order.

Once you receive your trial frames you have 10 days to try them out and post them back to us. We suggest you send them back to us using a signed for service. We provide an order form in the envelope so if you wish to buy any of the items you tried out you can place your order.

We will send the item you have selected to the lab to have your prescription lenses made and fitted. We use a brand new out of the packet frame to make your order, the trial frames are sample ones we keep to send out on home trials.

Around 10 working days (if not sooner) after we receive your home trial return back in the mail we will dispatch your completed order. Please note more complex orders may take longer.

Please note that our Home Trial service is currently available to UK customers only. However it may be possible to arrange for home trials to overseas clients – but increased postage and packing costs will be applicable. Contact our customer service team for more information.
